I'm Kimberly Vicknair — and my path to building AECconnect.org is anything but ordinary. Before I ever stepped foot in the construction and real estate world, I was a college athlete, a pro volleyball player for 7 years, a runway model, and spent a decade in Hollywood throwing high-profile events, running a public relations firm, and managing a Latin music group. I even owned my own tanning salon. Every single one of those chapters taught me something that no business school can — how to read a room, connect with people from completely different worlds, and create moments where real relationships are born. That's the skill set I brought into AEC. After 20+ years in the real estate and construction industry, I realized the biggest deals and the best partnerships don't happen in boardrooms — they happen when the right people are in the same room, feeling comfortable enough to be real with each other. AECconnect.org is my life's work in relationship-building, distilled into one powerful network. I built it because I know firsthand: when the right people connect, incredible things get built.
